Talk Talk – Spirit of Eden (Half-Speed Master)

Often lauded as a masterpiece, Spirit Of Eden marked a radical change from Talk Talks synth-pop beginnings – Mark Hollis and the team behind it instead crafting an album that would go on to pioneer post-rock. ‘Spirit of Eden’ was produced over the course of almost a year, compiling improvised, experimental performances which culminated in a mixture of jazz, ambient, and rock unlike anything else at the time.

Released in 1988, the album has grown from cult status to frequently appear on a number of greatest albums of all-time lists.

This pressing has been cut at half-speed for the first time at Metropolis Studios, following the half-speed master of Its My Life at the end of 2024.
