Crate Diggers represents an ambitious 30-day residency project where Minneapolis electronic-pop outfit Polia joined forces with Chicago’s experimental rock duo Ohmme to create something entirely fresh. The concept was beautifully simple yet challenging: two acts with distinct sonic identities would spend a month digging through Chicago’s legendary record stores, using their finds as raw material for spontaneous collaboration. What emerged was this collection of reimagined covers and original compositions that blur the lines between electronic manipulation and organic instrumentation.
