elegant ensemble ‘Meyers Nachtcaf’, the Berlin-based artist brings together musicians from the
Stuttgart music scene: Martin Johnson (Rhodes), Rudiger Nass (Guitar), Alex Uhl (Bass) and Eckhard
Stromer (Drums).
Following the example of Roy Hargrove’s Band ‘RH Factor’, Meyers Nachtcaf combines elements
of jazz, funk, hip-hop and soul. The music gets straight to your soul and is interspersed by lounge-like
ballads, in which Christian Meyers coaxes wonderfully floating, deeply melancholic sounds from his
Flugelhorn.
Meyers Nachtcaf is a band which is a real pleasure to hear, especially when performing live,
because the energy of cooperation and interplay gets to your very core.
