Thisis avinyl LP pressing of Jazz In Silhouette by Sun Ra and His Arkestra. The American jazz composer and pianist originally released his third studio album in May 1959, via Saturn Records. Produced by Alton Abraham, the album was recorded at El Saturn Studio in Chicago. The Penguin Guide to Jazzselected this album as part of its suggested “Core Collection” and awarded it a “crown” accolade, stating “This marvellous record will one day be recognised as one of the most important jazz records since the war.”
