It includes the Grammy-winning single Daughters, which earned Mayer his first #1 hit and the 2005 Grammy Award for Song of the Year, dedicated to his late grandmother, Annie Hoffman. He also won Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, surpassing artists like Elvis Costello, Prince, and Seal. In 2006, Mayer received the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
