This is the debut album from Glasgow based four piece Franz Ferdinand. The album, which is heavily influenced by bands such as Wire and Gang Of Four, sees the band mix early eighties new wave with modern indie rock to strikingly original effect, and resulted in them scooping the 2004 Mercury Music Prize.
