Animalization

Animalization is The Animals’ fourth U.S. album, originally released in August 1966 on MGM Records, and it blends blues, R&B, and traditional folk covers with Eric Burdon originals co-written with new keyboardist Dave Rowberry. The record features the hits Don’t Bring Me Down, Inside-Looking Out, and See See Rider. The 2022 ABKCO vinyl reissue has been remastered from first-generation mono master tapes and includes liner notes by Rolling Stone senior editor David Fricke. This release highlights The Animals’ rugged blues-rock sensibility and Rowberry’s contributions to the band’s evolving sound.
