Since it’s formation in 2023, Dvtr has shaken up the Canadian punk scene, racking up glowing reviews, explosive live shows, year-end best-of lists and various back-patting awards with it’s 12-minute debut EP “BONJOUR”. Somewhere between the B-52s and Jay Reatard’s DIY punk, the destructive duo spews it’s bile over fast-paced music that’s often surprising, sometimes lopsided, but always cathartic. On stage, the completely unpredictable attitude of Demi Lune & Jean Divorce breaks down all language barriers, having already taken them to stages around the world, from Mexico to the UK and Japan.

Dvtr is short, sharp, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive; it’s the only way to make the message sink in-vasectomies for all, ACAB, zeitgeist, etcetera, etcetera. As the kind folks at Cult MTL put it: “This is a live band doing what great live bands do, live: entertaining, f*cking with people’s heads, having fun, and showing what they’ve got – crazy licks – without showing off.
